This wedding was at of my favourite wedding venues Kasteel Wijenburg in Echteld. It’s an amazing venue with the elegance and warm atmosphere which I really love.
Wedding couple Rob & Cynthia got married during Covid. Despite of the 1,5 meter restrictions and inviting less guests than usual, their wedding was just wonderful.
How the day started
I started my day of photography at the groom, Rob in the city of Flipje, named Tiel. Rob had company of his brother and his parents. To start the day relaxed, they had some had some coffee together. Because of the lovely colours, light and atmosphere, Rob was changing his outfit in the kitchen. I could really sense Rob was a bit nervous. Which really was okay because they were looking forward to it for so long!
Afterwards I headed to see Cynthia for her preparation at the wedding venue Kateel Wijenburg in Echteld. When I got there I was letting it all in how incredibly amazing the rooms of this castle are. Just stunning! Cynthia was doing her own hair and makeup. She was totally at ease and you could sense the calmness of these surroundings.
First look at Kasteel Wijenburg
Rob was just so nervous during his first look. And it isn’t helping if you getting directions to stand with your back towards your future wife to be. But it did work and it got me some really nice images of that very moment. Also the guests did shed some happy tears, it showed how intimate and full of love it was. After the first look and welcoming the family and friends, Rob & Cynthia could the enjoy their photoshoot.
Ceremony
The ceremony was perfectly done by the crew of the venue And although there were some restrictions due to covid, you could feel the emotions and happiness. At first Rob was given away by his mum, afterwards Cynthia by her dad. A tradition with a little twist to the 21st century.
Reception
Finally it was time to lift the glasses and toast to this amazing couple. As a wedding photographer, you’ll get to know all the details. Cynthia was 3 months pregnant! They wanted to surprise their family and friends. Curious how they did that? Take a peak at the images below.
In conclusion, I had an amazing day with this lovely couple and mummy & daddy to be!
