Wedding photography in Amsterdam
Let me take you back to the wonderful wedding of Bastiaan & Naomi in Amsterdam. What a nice and relaxed wedding day this really was! A wonderful throw back to the wedding photography of this beautiful couple.
How it all began
The wedding photography in Amsterdam started in the afternoon. Living right next to the beautiful Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam the wedding couple did their preps. It was a nice workout to get all the way up with my photogear (read 4 floors without an elevator :)) While Naomi was getting styled by Ana Ciorici while breastfeeding her 5 month old son. Naomi was happy to have captured everything. Bastiaan was also at home, prepping his hair and his suit. It didn’t matter to them whether they did the first look or not. They already knew what they would look like. And it was beautiful! Naomi had bought a vintage dress and it looked amazing on her.
Heading towards wedding venue Strand Zuid
We started with the photoshoot of the wedding couple at the gates of the Rijksmuseum. As busy as Amsterdam can be it didn’t spoil the fun. Afterwards we headed to the beautiful wedding venue of Strand Zuid. The wedding venue was located at the Rai Amsterdam. Your imagining yourself in a different world than in Amsterdam. The venue is situates near a pond of a park. So prettye! Here the wedding couple got married and celebrated their wedding with a BBQ and reception.

I always look around to see if I can photograph something new and with a touch of creativity. It’s always so much fun to think out of the box. Bastiaan & Naomi loved it too! Before the reception started, I took them to the ladiesroom. ” Ladiesroom, I hear you think? Yes indeed, I wanted to do something cool with the mirrors! You can see the result below!
